The Close Up Show – The Churchill Theatre, Bromley, Kent

As you may have seen from my previous posts, The Close Up Show was devised by magician Chris Wood, who also set up the Close Up Shows at The Magic Circle. The idea is to bring some of the leading performers from the Magic Circle, to venues dotted around the home counties, these include Hertford, Brentwood, Bromley, Epsom, Sevenoaks, and Wimbledon. Arthur and Amy’s Wedding, Mulberry House

Close Up Magic at Doris’s 70th Birthday Party in Puckeridge

A couple of weekends ago, I was invited by Sandra Buzzing to perform at her mother’s 70th Birthday Party in Puckeridge, near Ware in Herts. Close Up Magic at Peter and Dot’s joint 70th Birthday celebrations

Last Saturday was, for a change, a very local performance for me, travelling just a few miles down the road to Theydon Bois to entertain Peter and Dot, and their guests from all sections of their lives, and what busy people they are too. It was also nice to see many faces I recognised there, so it was even better to perform for ‘friendly’ faces, from my local area. Magic with the Showgirls in Vegas, or was it Basingstoke?

Last year I was booked to perform close up magic at the Master Locksmiths Association annual dinner and awards evening, and was delighted to be invited back again this year. Following the magic during both the drinks reception and dinner, the cabaret started with hilarious stand up comic Zack Stephens and finished with the dulcet tones of singer Andy Wilsher along with the Vegas Showgirls, Alison Whitworth and Jenni Bean Graham, who add some wonderful glamour to the evening.
