Last year I was booked to perform close up magic at the Master Locksmiths Association annual dinner and awards evening, and was delighted to be invited back again this year. Following the magic during both the drinks reception and dinner, the cabaret started with hilarious stand up comic Zack Stephens and finished with the dulcet tones of singer Andy Wilsher along with the Vegas Showgirls, Alison Whitworth and Jenni Bean Graham, who add some wonderful glamour to the evening. I have been a fan of the London Marathon since it’s inaugural race in 1981, and even managed to complete the course as a competitor in 1988 in a time of 4 hours 26 minutes, when I was so much younger and fitter than I am now. On Wednesday, I was delighted to be invited to the unveiling of a Blue Plaque celebrating the first ever meeting of what was to become The Magic Circle.
