Wednesday took me up to the Burleigh Court Hotel, which is a 4* conference centre standing within the grounds of Loughborough University, where HEBCoN (Higher Education Business Continuity Network) were holding their two day conference and AGM I was asked to attend and perform Close Up Magic at the tables during the evening dinner and also a Cabaret show between the main and dessert courses. I was once told by a wise elder of magic, never judge Paul Daniels until you see him handle an audience – a few months later I understood exactly what he had meant.
