On Wednesday, I was delighted to be invited to the unveiling of a Blue Plaque celebrating the first ever meeting of what was to become The Magic Circle. Wednesday took me up to the Burleigh Court Hotel, which is a 4* conference centre standing within the grounds of Loughborough University, where HEBCoN (Higher Education Business Continuity Network) were holding their two day conference and AGM I was asked to attend and perform Close Up Magic at the tables during the evening dinner and also a Cabaret show between the main and dessert courses. Whilst most other people were treating their Mums to a special Mothering Sunday lunch, Emma and James were celebrating something completely different with their mothers Margaret and Valerie, as they tied the knot at Gaynes Park in Epping, witnessed by about 90 of their family and friends. Although the weather was a little inclement, it managed to stop raining at all the important times, so they were able to have their wedding photos taken in the venues beautiful grounds.
