On Friday, I had to rush down from St Albans, where I had been performing at a Summer Garden Party, to get onto central London to host another Close Up Show, at the Magic CIrcle.

Ryan Jackson, a friend of mine and up and coming magician, from one of my magic clubs and also a member of the Young Magician Club ( the junior section of The Magic Circle), came along to watch with his father Dave. Ryan is a very capable performer despite still being in his early teens, and during the interval I arranged for him to perform a quick trick at one of the table for a couple for the performers and it also attracted the attention of many of the guests.

He gave a very competent performance, which was appreciated by all those watching. I managed to grab a couple of snaps on my phone, and of course, as he was that good, I had to throw him out of the building – I did let him back in – Well done Ryan!
