Quite a local trip for me, just a few miles up the road to Harlow, to perform at the 40th Birthday party of Laura Higgs, a local fitness instructor. Friends and family had been invited to a Bar- B – Q in her back garden to celebrate the occasion, with a wide range of age groups to entertain. Guests were greeted with a DVD of Laura’s recent charity tandem parachute jump from god knows how many thousand feet!

So mix and ‘Mingle and Magic’ was the order of the day, on a very warm and muggy summers evening, and as the night sky drew in, I thought people were taking flash photos of me performing, which indeed they were. However, most of the flashes were a result of lightening in the distance

A really good evening, performing to a really appreciative audience and a gang of children following me round trying to work out how it was all done – Well it’s magic, isn’t it?

I received a lovely email from Laura thanking me:

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for your time and patience at my party last Friday.  It was a very busy party, in a small home with lots of people of all ages.   You were entertaining and amazed everyone!   Old and young were kept interested and mesmerised by your tricks.  The children even followed you to your car afterwards asking for explanations.  You were very generous with your time arriving early and leaving later than planned for no extra charge.  We all loved it thanks again.  The party would not have been anywhere near as good without you.
