I spend an awful lot of time at other peoples weddings, parties and celebrations, all of which is really very enjoyable. However, every now and again a special one comes along. Last Saturday my eldest daughter Katie, her partner Dan, and the children went up to her favorite picnic spot at Hampstead Heath, in London. My younger daughter Emily asked if she could miss her morning dance classes and drive up there to meet them, and  also asked if she could  take a bottle of champagne.

Well, I’m more of a Magician than a psychic , although I have been know to read a few minds, but I had a feeling something was going on, but thought it best not to ask. It wasn’t long before I received a phone call from a delighted and somewhat excited Katie to say that Dan had proposed to her. She of course immediately said ‘Yes’.

Unfortunately, about 5 weeks before the birth of their daughter in March this year, Dan broke his back, and its been a difficult time for them, so Emily has helped Dan by running around and picking up the ring without Katie knowing.

Many, many congratulations to them both and I wish them a wonderful future life together, with Grace and my grandchildren Jake and Isabelle – even though Dan does support Arsenal! I think the faces on the photos below says it all…
