The sun was shining as I arrived at the Manor of Groves for the wedding of childhood sweethearts Sophie Stock and Lawrence Key. It was lovely for the newly married Mr and Mrs Horsfall, whose wedding I performed at on Friday, to take time out, before flying off to the Dominican Republic, to send me the following message via Facebook, from the airport Hi Kevin, Thank you so much for making our special day even more memorable. It’s not just the Bride, Groom and their guest who open their curtains first thing in the morning and look up at the sky to see what the weather’s like. Another beautiful sunny afternoon today which I spent at Newland Hall, a beautiful wedding venue in Roxwell, in Essex. The site dates back hundreds of years,The first reference to Newland Hall (rather than just Newland) was made in 1447. Original records exist for Manor Courts held at Newland Hall from 1448 onwards.
