Having spent the morning at the prestigious Magic Circle, hosting a Family Day, where we opened the doors early to the public due to the torrential rain, I had time so a quick bite then off to Mulberry House, in High Ongar to perform at the drinks reception after the wedding of Arthur and Amy Moore, and was glad to see that although a little windy, the rain appeared to have abated
Friends and relative had travelled from as far a Scotland to witness their wedding and celebrate their special day with them. I had been asked to entertain the happy couple and their guests, by the Groom’s father, who had seen me perform on several occasions.
Perhaps due to the weather, once the photos were taken, the guest moved back inside to the warm atmosphere of the conservatory where the not only was the temperature much warmer, but so was the mood of everyone gathered.
Moving between groups, I was constantly being asked to ‘come back and do some more’, and as is often the way with weddings I performed a mixture of Mix and Mingle magic and Close Up magic at the tables, personalising some of my magic for specific guests
I received an email from the Groom’s father:
” Kevin,
Thanks a million for everything you did at Arthur and Amy’s wedding on Tuesday, I have never seen a group of people so bamboozled before in all my years, most of whom had never seen magic performed under their noses. My daughter, Polly, who you may remember was one of the two bridesmaids dressed in dark blue, was totally gobsmacked by everything you did, and didn’t stop talking about it, and it even carried on during the next day. I can’t thank you enough”
Wishing the newly married Mr and Mrs Moore very best wishes for their future life together
