Another beautiful sunny afternoon today which I spent at Newland Hall, a beautiful wedding venue in Roxwell, in Essex. The site dates back hundreds of years,The first reference to Newland Hall (rather than just Newland) was made in 1447. Original records exist for Manor Courts held at Newland Hall from 1448 onwards. There is strong evidence that Newland Hall was one of the places of retirement for the lascivious King Henry VIII
Today’s event, adding to the venues history, was the wedding of Laura Stevens and Stuart McLuckie, who were able to hold their ceremony outside in the grounds of the venue. The Bride, and her six bridesmaids all looked gorgeous as can be seen from the the photos below, the Groom and best Man,Stuart and Chris, looked dapper and calm.
After the ceremony, I performed ‘mix and mingle magic’ strolling between small groups of guests, outside in the gardens during the drinks reception and also performed at the top table for the happy couple during the wedding breakfast held in the venues permanent marquee. Everyone appeared to enjoy my magic, and I was glad to have made the day even more memorable for everyone by personalising some of my magic for specific guests
I wish the newly married Mr and Mrs McLuckie my very best wishes for their future life together.
